Presents original art work by Australian artists Kiya Kalem and Ben Sherar
Kalem Sherar Gallery was established by artist couple Kiya Kalem and Ben Sherar in Fremantle in back in 2020 as High Street Gallery and rebranded to Kalem Sherar in early 2022. Tired of out sourcing artwork to other galleries we took the leap to take all aspects of our art careers into our own hands. It was important to both of us to be 100% a part of the whole process from hand stretching and making our custom canvases, grinding and mixing our own paint and making the frames, to now handling the sales of our art to our lovely clientele. We have currently taken a step back from our physical retail space to have more time in the studio as we couldn’t find the right staff to take over and most of our interactions shifted to online so we decided to refocus our creative efforts and put all of our attention into our practice.
